What you'll do
- Welcome guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and bid them farewell graciously
- Deliver prompt, courteous service and attend to guests’ needs and preferences throughout the meal
- Explain menu items and answer questions about food and drinks
- Record orders and transactions in Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Close shifts on the Point of Sale (POS) terminal and reconcile cash and credit card settlements
- Keep front- and back-of-house restaurant areas clean and organized
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely food and beverage delivery
- Communicate menu questions, allergies, dietary needs, additional requirements, and special requests to the kitchen
Key requirements
- 1+ years' experience
- Customer service, Food and beverage service, Order taking, Menu and food knowledge
- Point of Sale (POS) systems, Cash and credit card settlement
- Health, safety, and sanitation regulations, Restaurant cleanliness and organization
- Food allergy and dietary requirement handling, Cross-functional coordination
- English, Communication, Interpersonal skills
- Multitasking, Planning and organization
- Vocational Training in a Related Fieldpreferred
