What you'll do
- Prepare ingredients by cleaning and cutting vegetables, meats, fish, and other raw materials
- Follow hygiene and food safety regulations to avoid cross-contamination and ensure proper food storage
- Support chefs by assisting with frying, grilling, boiling, and other cooking tasks
- Execute simple cooking procedures under guidance to maintain dish quality and consistency
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization by cleaning work surfaces and disposing of waste
- Store raw materials properly to preserve quality and monitor stock levels for replenishment
- Coordinate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth workflow
- Report equipment, order, or supply issues to senior kitchen staff for resolution
Key requirements
- 1+ years' experience
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and kitchen hygiene
- Basic cooking techniques and ingredient preparation
- Stock and raw material management
- Time management and ability to work under pressure
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of English language
- Culinary Artspreferred
