What you'll do
- Assist in preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring
- Cook and plate dishes according to established recipes and instructions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen including cleaning equipment and workstations
- Maintain the workspace by keeping the kitchen clean and organized during the shift
- Dispose of waste regularly and clean work surfaces
- Store raw materials ensuring their quality and proper conditions
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report replenishment needs
- Coordinate with kitchen team to ensure smooth workflow and take on specific tasks
- Report issues with equipment, orders, or supplies to Head Chef or Sous Chef
- Participate in training newer team members in beverage preparation and customer service
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation regulations
- Basic knowledge of allergen management
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Skills in ingredient preparation and stock/raw material management
- Ability to work under pressure with strong organizational and time management skills
- Communication skills and teamwork
- English language proficiency
- Culinary Artspreferred
