What you'll do
- Provide technical support on vessel machinery repair and maintenance
- Ensure approved repair methods and select quality subcontractors
- Evaluate and report on onboard personnel efficiency and cooperation
- Inspect vessels in port at least once every 6 months
- Monitor Safety Management System and report deviations
- Manage lubricants, spare parts, and store requisitions
- Assist in troubleshooting vessel machinery
- Prepare and supervise repair, conversion, and dry-docking works
- Inspect and evaluate vessels for purchase or sale
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental excellence
- Develop procedures within the area of responsibility
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Technical support for vessel machinery repair and maintenance
- Repair methods evaluation and subcontractor selection
- Vessel inspection
- Safety Management System (SMS) monitoring
- Inventory management for lubricants and spare parts
- Troubleshooting vessel machinery
- Repair, conversion, dry-docking supervision
- Evaluation of vessel personnel
- English language proficiency
