What you'll do
- Monitor monthly vessel reports and follow up on analysis of lubricating oil, bunker, boiler, and cooling water, flagging deviations for corrective action.
- Maintain vessel certification records and compile data for owners’ reports.
- Arrange vessel equipment services and repairs, including annual surveys and routine servicing, and liaise with classification societies.
- Use approved vendors, issue purchase orders, and follow up on service delivery to prevent cost overruns.
- Coordinate port service planning and logistics for each vessel call.
- Use purchasing, certification, and voyage planning systems and provide feedback for improvements.
Key requirements
- 4+ years' experience
- Purchasing or supply chain management
- Vessel technical requirements and voyage regulations
- Technical subcontractor market knowledge and vendor management
- Negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Project management and port service planning and logistics
- English language and PC applications
- Business Administration / Accountingpreferred
