The Ground Operations Support Officer is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of ground operations to support the efficient and safe operation of flights and the satisfaction of passengers and stakeholders. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of various ground operations activities in industries such as aviation, logistics, transportation, and hospitality. Responsibilities: Ensure that ground handling suppliers, airport companies and airports’ operations comply with the company’s safety standards. Deliver targeted performance outcomes for safety, compliance, cost control and operational performance. Ensure that ground personnel, including those of the contracted Ground Handling Agents, comply with the company’s legislation, regulations, and procedures. Make sur that the Airline procedures and processes are implemented. Coordinate and support disruptions at the airports. Monitor check-in, boarding activities and administrate Ground Handling Agent’s departure control system. Oversee flight delays, identify delay triggers, and communicate reports. Assist with Administration and follow-up of flight/cabin crew reports. Support Operational Control Center (OCC) and Customer Care Team for disrupted flights and customer care issues. Authorize passenger re-protection (rebooking on other airlines) and hotel accommodation and ground transportation when needed. Undertake station visits and relevant audits/inspections/training. Follow up on Safety reports, Turnaround Inspections and findings related to Ground Operations. Participate in internal and external quality/compliance related cross-functional projects. Competences: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions under tight deadlines. The Outstation Ground Operations Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the safe, cost effective and punctual operation of allocated stations or bases’ operation.
