What you'll do
- Own and investigate production issues at application and database levels
- Produce robust, well-written solutions for production problems
- Communicate investigation status effectively to customers
- Deploy fixes in production environments
- Escalate issues to senior team members for resolution
- Assist in creating and maintaining support documentation
- Participate in a rota including weekends and bank holidays
Key requirements
- 2+ years' experience
- Application support and technical investigation skills
- Programming languages including Java, J2EE, C, C++, Python, PHP and SQL
- Strong fundamental programming skills in data structures and algorithms
- Linux/Unix system knowledge and bash shell commands
- Performance monitoring tools like Grafana, Datadog, Squadcast
- Version control systems such as GIT, Subversion, CVS
- Scripting languages including Perl, Python, JavaScript
- Jira ticketing system
- Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills
- Computer Science / Engineering / Information Systemspreferred
