At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the World’s 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Banquet Manager to join our Food & Beverage team.
As Assistant Banquet Manager, you will support the successful planning and execution of exceptional events, ensuring seamless service delivery while maintaining Four Seasons' legendary standards of luxury hospitality. Working closely with the Banquet Management team and collaborating with Catering, Culinary, Stewarding and other operational departments, you will play a key role in delivering memorable guest experiences, developing your team, and driving operational excellence. What You Will Do
Support the day-to-day operation of the Banquet department, ensuring exceptional service standards at every event.
Supervise, coach, motivate and develop the banquet team while fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Assist with scheduling, payroll, labour planning and operational administration.
Coordinate closely with Catering, Culinary, Stewarding, Engineering, Housekeeping and other departments to ensure flawless event execution.
Maintain excellent communication with clients, event hosts and internal stakeholders throughout the event process.
Monitor service quality, guest satisfaction and operational standards, taking corrective action whenever necessary.
Support inventory management, purchasing requirements and cost control initiatives.
Maintain strong knowledge of food & beverage products, service standards and luxury hospitality practices.
Ensure compliance with Four Seasons standards, health & safety regulations and hygiene procedures.
Assist with training initiatives, employee engagement activities and performance evaluations.
What You Bring
Previous supervisory or management experience within Banquet Operations or Food & Beverage in a luxury hotel environment.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Strong guest service mindset with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
Excellent food & beverage knowledge.
Fluency in English is essential; Greek will be considered an advantage.
Applicants must have a European Passport or the legal right to work in Greece.
