What you'll do
- Welcome guests and ensure they are seated according to preferences or special needs
- Maintain visibility on the restaurant floor and address guest concerns immediately
- Provide guests with menu information and encourage upselling
- Lead and manage restaurant operations including staffing and inventory
- Conduct effective shift briefings on VIPs, specials, and dietary restrictions
- Implement procedures for food and beverage quality control and service
- Encourage and appraise staff performance to improve productivity
- Train, motivate, coach, and discipline employees to meet brand values
- Evaluate and assign staff responsibilities based on abilities and skills
- Help manage staff schedules for adequate coverage during all shifts
- Assist in preparing reports on sales, labor costs, and customer feedback
Key requirements
- 2+ years' experience
- Customer service skills with guest interaction and upselling techniques
- Supervisory, performance management, and training and coaching skills
- Planning and organizational skills with operational management
- Food safety standards knowledge and inventory management
- English language proficiency and Ms-Office skills
- Communication skills including shift briefing and performance feedback
- WSET certification considered an advantage
- Hospitality Management / Business Administration / Restaurant Management / Culinary Arts / Related Fieldpreferred
