What you'll do
- Direct daily shift operations of housekeeping
- Ensure guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas are clean and maintained
- Complete inspections and enforce corrective actions
- Manage housekeeping department finances and expenses
- Schedule, monitor, and adjust labor based on business needs
- Assist in preparation and management of department budget
- Maintain company assets within budget guidelines
- Ensure room inventory is available and cleaned to maximize revenue
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest concerns and requests
- Train and model guest service standards with staff
- Conduct routine inspections of housekeeping operations
- Motivate staff through goal setting, feedback, and recognition
- Interview, hire, coach, and develop employees
- Promote collaboration and a professional work environment
- Attend department and hotel meetings for communication and planning
- Advise and implement changes to housekeeping operations
- Manage housekeeping and laundry initiatives meeting productivity standards
Key requirements
- 2+ years' experience
- Housekeeping operations management and inspection quality control
- Budget management and expense control
- Labor scheduling, monitoring, and adjustment
- Guest satisfaction management and service recovery
- Team leadership, motivation, hiring, and coaching
- Communication skills and problem-solving
- Collaboration and time management
- Hotel and Restaurant Management / Hospitality / Business Administrationpreferred
