What you'll do
- Direct daily shift operations of Housekeeping
- Work with employees to maintain cleanliness of guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas
- Complete inspections and hold staff accountable for corrective actions
- Manage labor scheduling and adjust based on business needs
- Assist with preparation and management of department budget
- Manage and maintain company assets within budget guidelines
- Ensure sufficient room inventory is available and cleaned
- Respond to guest concerns courteously and focus on service recovery
- Train and model appropriate guest service standards alongside staff
- Conduct routine inspections to maintain housekeeping standards
- Motivate staff by setting goals, providing feedback, and recognizing employees
- Interview, hire, coach, and develop all employees
- Promote collaboration and a positive professional work environment
- Attend department and hotel meetings to ensure proper communication and planning
- Advise and implement changes to housekeeping operations as needed
- Oversee housekeeping and laundry initiatives to meet productivity standards
