What you'll do
- Answer guest questions about the wine list
- Recommend wines based on guests’ tastes and food choices
- Handle guest requests and complaints effectively
- Pair and explain wines with the tasting menu
- Update the wine list with the Wine Director
- Oversee cellar conditions and ensure optimal storage
- Recommend food and wine pairings
Key requirements
- Wine knowledge and service; WSET Level 3
- English language; Communication skills; Guest service
- Food and wine pairing; Wine sales and upselling
- Wine list management; Wine cellar management
- Food and beverage technology; Organizational skills
- Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries
