Based in Attiki, Greece and reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient procurement and supply chain processes while maintaining financial integrity and cost-effectiveness.Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:<ul><li>Developing and implementing cost control strategies to optimize manufacturing operations</li><li>Preparing detailed cost reports and financial analyses to support decision-making</li><li>Monitoring and analyzing cost variances, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement</li><li>Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations</li><li>Liaising with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and conditions</li><li>Reviewing and approving purchase orders and contracts, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints</li><li>Conducting regular audits of cost control procedures and systems to ensure compliance with financial policies</li><li>Collaborating with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure cost-effective purchasing and inventory management</li><li>Providing training and guidance to junior staff on cost control practices and procedures</li><li>Any other work that may be required from time to time</li></ul>Professional experience &amp; qualifications of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field</li><li>Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA) is a plus</li><li>At least 5 years of experience in cost controlling ideally within the manufacturing industry</li><li>Proven expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost optimization strategies</li><li>Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems</li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (advanced MS Excel skills)</li><li>Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal)</li></ul>Core competencies of a successful candidate:<ul><li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills</li><li>High level of integrity and ethical standards</li><li>Project management skills; ability to set priorities and manage deadlines</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data</li><li>Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong leadership and team management skills</li></ul>
