What you'll do
- Assist in measuring mechanical parts and assemblies using precision instruments like calipers and CMM
- Support dimensional and visual inspections against engineering drawings and GD&T standards
- Design and implement jigs and fixtures for new product introductions
- Record, organize, and report measurement and inspection data accurately
- Prepare inspection reports, first article inspections, and nonconformance documentation
- Assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of metrology equipment and fixtures
- Support gauge and equipment calibration tracking and verification
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to address dimensional issues and improve inspection methods
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized metrology or inspection area
- Maintain documentation of measurement results according to company standards
Key requirements
- Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5 standards) and ability to read technical drawings
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Experience with metrology software like PC-DMIS or Calypso
- Use of precision measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, CMM, OMM, and Optical Scanner
- Measurement and inspection data recording and reporting
- Design and implementation of jigs and fixtures

Currently enrolled in a degree for Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
A basic understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5 standards) and the ability to read technical drawings.
Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or metrology software (PC-DMIS, Calypso) is a significant plus.
Familiarity with standard measurement tools and inspection techniques.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
English fluently in speaking, reading and writing.
