What you'll do
- Ensure smooth, fast and accurate checkout operations and quality customer service
- Coordinate, guide and support the cashier team, including training and performance support
- Monitor daily cashier reports, verify transactions and manage register-closing procedures
- Apply policies and procedures for transactions, security and cash management
- Support the team in resolving checkout issues and customer complaints
- Oversee safe and accurate cash handling, including deposits, refunds and reconciliation
- Use POS and retail technology tools to monitor transactions and performance indicators
- Participate in stocktaking and ensure accurate cashier-related records
- Maintain cleanliness, organization and a professional checkout area
Key requirements
- Cash transaction management, cash handling and cash reconciliation
- POS systems, cash register reporting and computer literacy
- Team coordination and team training
- Customer service and problem solving
- Policy and procedure compliance
- Stocktaking, organization and attention to detail; previous cashier or cashier team coordination experience
