What you'll do
- Ensure smooth checkout operations with speed, accuracy, and quality customer service
- Coordinate, guide, and support the cashier team, including training and performance support
- Monitor daily cashier reports, verify transactions, and manage cash register closing procedures
- Apply transaction, security, and cash management policies and procedures
- Support the team in resolving checkout issues and customer complaints
- Oversee secure and accurate cash management, including deposits, refunds, and reconciliation
- Use POS and retail technology tools to monitor transactions and performance indicators
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure accurate checkout-related records
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and a professional checkout area
Key requirements
- Cash transaction management, POS systems, and cash register closing procedures
- Team coordination, staff coaching and training
- Cash management, cash reconciliation, and cashier reporting
- Customer service and problem solving
- Organization, accuracy and attention to detail
- Computer literacy, policy and procedure compliance, and inventory counting
