About the job

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Proposals Engineer to join our Proposals team for our Thermal Plants & HVDC Technology Division of the Renewables, Storage & Energy Transition (MRES-ET) within our Paiania offices.

 

Your role will encompass:

  • Analyse customer requirements and collaborate with the Proposal Manager to define and prepare deliverables required during the Sales & Bidding process.

  • Review and understand the technical aspects of the tender or and of the proposed product, working closely with internal technical experts to ensure technical excellence.

  • Prepare technical studies, designs, Bills of Materials, and supporting documentation that form part of the proposal package or support the Costing estimations ensuring alignment with tender requirements, good engineering practice and company internal standards.

  • Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, construction, etc.), as well as with external subcontractors, and/or consultants to receive the required information & data to prepare the above technical deliverables.

  • Evaluate bids from partners, suppliers, and subcontractors, providing recommendations to the Proposal Manager and Costing Manager.

  • Comment the Customer requirements and present and negotiate technical proposals with customers and technology providers.

 

What you bring to the role:

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Previous experience in a similar role or involvement in proposal, tendering, sales procedures, or project execution in the Energy sector will be considered an asset.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering aspects in Energy projects.

  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of French or German will be considered an advantage.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to customer and project sites, both in Greece and abroad.
