What you'll do

- Produce structured analyses and executive reports to support senior leadership decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and represent the Group in client meetings and international industry events

Intellectica is recruiting a Senior Technical Business Development Expert on behalf of its client, a leading international technology group. With a strong global footprint and a portfolio of innovative companies, the organization delivers cutting-edge technologies and integrated systems to clients in more than 30 countries worldwide. Based in Athens, Greece, and reporting to the Department Manager (Strategic Intelligence Business Unit), the successful candidate will act as a key interface between technology, market intelligence, and commercial strategy, contributing directly to the Group’s long-term growth.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
Contribute to the definition and execution of the Group’s growth strategy by identifying new market opportunities, emerging technologies, and potential areas of expansion across international defence and high-tech ecosystems
Monitor global market trends, including procurement priorities, geopolitical developments, and evolving operational needs, translating insights into actionable business initiatives
Support the identification, qualification, and development of international business opportunities, programmes, and strategic partnerships across the Group’s portfolio
Participate in pre-sales and technical discovery activities, ensuring alignment between customer requirements, technological capabilities, and overall commercial strategy
Translate complex technical capabilities into clear and compelling value propositions that support positioning and go-to-market strategies
Contribute to capture planning, development of business cases, and formulation of market entry strategies for targeted opportunities
Perform high-level technical evaluations of products, systems, and emerging technologies, assessing maturity, scalability, and strategic fit within the Group’s offerings
Conduct ongoing competitive and technology intelligence, benchmarking solutions across key domains such as communications, AI, cybersecurity, autonomous systems, and space technologies
Produce structured analyses, reports, and executive insights to support decision-making at senior leadership level
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and represent the Group in meetings, client interactions, and international industry events, building strong relationships with key stakeholders
Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunications, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or related field)
MBA or postgraduate studies in Business, Strategy, or related fields will be considered an asset
Experience within Defence, Aerospace, Security, Telecommunications, or ICT sectors is highly preferred
Proven experience in Technical Business Development, Pre-sales, Technical Sales, Product Management, or Strategy roles within complex technology environments
Strong understanding of technological domains such as communications systems, AI/ML, cybersecurity, autonomous systems, or integrated platforms
Tech-savvy and comfortable managing digital tools
Fluency in Greek and English (written and verbal)
Willingness to travel internationally as needed
