- Familiarity with safety and quality procedures and quality systems
- Proficiency in monitoring KPIs and industrial performance metrics
- Skills in using MS Office and ERP systems

Through a recently developed circular economy model, the organization transforms biomass-derived raw materials into renewable energy, maximizing resource utilization and contributing to a more sustainable industrial ecosystem. To support the operation and further optimization of its state-of-the-art biomass power generation facility in Volos, the company is looking to strengthen its operations team with a key leadership hire. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient and uninterrupted operation of a highly automated energy production plant, while actively contributing to its ongoing growth, optimization and technical excellence.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
Planning, organizing, directing, and overseeing daily operations, ensuring the safe, efficient and uninterrupted performance of the biomass power generation facility
Monitoring production activities and operational performance indicators to ensure achievement of production, efficiency and availability targets
Coordinating and supervising plant personnel, ensuring optimal task allocation, workforce planning and effective shift execution
Leading and supporting operational teams in maintaining compliance with established operating procedures, quality standards and company policies
Monitoring the performance of critical plant equipment and systems, proactively identifying operational deviations and coordinating corrective actions when required
Collaborating closely with maintenance and technical teams to ensure timely troubleshooting, preventive maintenance planning and minimization of downtime
Overseeing the operation of automated systems and control processes, ensuring the reliable and efficient performance of the plant’s electrical and automation infrastructure
Supporting root cause analysis activities, incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing plant performance and reliability
Ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and promoting a strong safety culture across all plant activities
Preparing operational reports, performance analyses and technical documentation while providing regular updates to management regarding plant status and improvement opportunities
Any other task that may be required from time-to-time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of professional experience within the energy sector
Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, PLC-controlled environments and process control technologies
Previous experience in biomass plants, thermal power plants, renewable energy facilities, and industrial utilities will be considered a strong asset
Proven experience in industrial operations, production supervision or plant management roles
Familiarity with safety and quality procedures
Solid knowledge of quality systems, KPIs, and industrial performance metrics
Familiarity with MS office and ERP systems
Fluency in both Greek and English
