Intellectica is recruiting an experienced Product Development Manager on behalf of a leading international software development and systems integration company with a strong presence in the Defense and Security sector. Organized in strategic industry clusters comprising more than a dozen specialized companies, the Group has built, over more than three decades, a strong international reputation for the design, development, and integration of mission-critical systems, and is a trusted partner to public authorities, European institutions, and NATO programs. Based in Athens, Greece, and reporting to the Technical Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will own the entire product lifecycle, shape product vision and roadmap while ensuring alignment with market demands, operational requirements and business priorities.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
Define and drive the vision, strategy and long-term roadmap of the company's defense products, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs and evolving defense market requirements
Own the full product lifecycle, overseeing the continuous evolution of the product portfolio from concept and strategic planning through development, release and ongoing enhancement
Analyze defense market trends, competitive solutions, emerging operational requirements and technology developments to identify opportunities for product growth and differentiation
Engage with Armed Forces, defense organizations, and industry stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate them into product opportunities and strategic priorities
Convert market and business requirements into clear product requirements, ensuring alignment between operational needs, commercial objectives and technical development goals
Partner closely with Engineering and Technical Leadership teams to define development priorities, and establish roadmap milestones that maximize product value and market readiness
Lead cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Business Development, Technical Business Development, Project Management and Marketing teams to ensure successful execution of the product strategy
Monitor roadmap execution, product development progress and release plans, balancing scope, timelines, technical feasibility and quality throughout the development lifecycle
Act as the primary owner and advocate of the product portfolio, ensuring consistent communication and alignment among internal stakeholders, customers and strategic partners
Support customer engagements, product demonstrations, industry exhibitions and business development initiatives by effectively communicating product capabilities, value proposition and future direction
Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to strengthen product positioning, support go-to-market activities and develop product-related content and sales enablement material
Gather and evaluate feedback, operational insights and product performance metrics to continuously improve product capabilities, user value and competitive positioning
Assess the business impact and return on investment of product development initiatives, supporting informed decision-making
Deliver product presentations, workshops and training sessions to internal teams, customers and external stakeholders whenever required
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Master's degree in a relevant discipline and/ or a PMI certification or relevant Product Management certifications will be considered an asset
At least 3 years of proven experience in Product Management, Product Development or Product Ownership roles within the Defense, Aerospace or Security sectors
Proven experience owning product roadmaps and managing products throughout their lifecycle, from requirements definition to market release and continuous improvement
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product development best practices
Good understanding of military operational environments, defense procurement processes, NATO standards, C2/C4ISR systems or Tactical Data Link solutions will be considered a strong advantage
Familiarity with product and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence or similar platforms
Fluency in Greek and English
