What you'll do
- Prepare and supervise pastry items, desserts, and other creations to the Pastry Chef’s standards and recipes.
- Execute tasting menus with consistency, precision, and high quality.
- Support the development and execution of new pastry creations and menu items.
- Supervise and support pastry colleagues during daily operations.
- Manage production efficiently while meeting required standards.
- Handle, store, and prepare ingredients correctly while maintaining quality and minimizing waste.
- Maintain the pastry kitchen, equipment, workstations, and storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Produce special occasion cakes, centrepieces, and other pastry creations when required.
- Apply techniques for yeasted products, laminated dough, chocolate, sugar, pastillage, and decorative work.
- Use, maintain, and clean pastry equipment and workstations properly.
- Coordinate with Kitchen and Service teams to deliver pastry offerings smoothly.
