What you'll do
- Provide excellent customer service
- Greet customers and present menus
- Suggest menu items based on customer preferences
- Take accurate food and drink orders using POS ordering software
- Serve food and drinks
- Address priorities and special requests, including food allergies and vegan options
- Upsell when appropriate
- Arrange table settings
- Keep tables clean and tidy
- Deliver checks and collect payments
- Coordinate and communicate with serving and kitchen staff
- Follow health department rules and customer service guidelines
Key requirements
- Food and beverage service, customer service and order taking
- POS ordering software and cash register operation
- English language
- Upselling and menu presentation
- Food allergy awareness and health and safety compliance
- Multitasking, organizational skills and restaurant staff coordination
