What you'll do

- Perform shift closing and tally cash and credit card settlements

- Communicate special meal requirements, allergies, and dietary needs to the kitchen
Key requirements
- 1+ years' experience
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Point of Sales (POS) system familiarity and cash/credit card settlements
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Food and beverage menu knowledge
- Communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure

About the job
At Domes Resorts the Waiter/Waitress A’ provides excellent customer service and ensures an enjoyable dining and drinking experience for the Domes’ guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and attending to guests' needs throughout their dining experience at the Main Restaurant of Barbarossa Athens.
Some of the responsibilities:
Guest Services
Greet and welcome guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner, escort them to their tables.
Thank and give fond farewell to guests conveying anticipation for their next visit.
Ensure prompt and courteous service throughout the meal, attending to guests' needs and preferences.
Operational Services
Provide menu information and answer questions about food and drinks.
Record transactions/orders in Point of Sales (POS) systems at the time of order.
Perform shift closing on the Point of sales (POS) terminal and tally cash and credit card settlements.
Ensure that the restaurant is always kept clean and organized, both at the front as well as the back of house areas.
Collaboration
Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
Communicate with the kitchen regarding any menu questions, as well as additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests.
Requirements
Useful to have:
High School degree or vocational training in a similar field is preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role in a luxury hospitality environment will be an asset.
Good knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Conversational English level and familiarity with POS system.
