What you'll do
- Oversee kitchen operations according to established menus and quality standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop daily and seasonal Italian restaurant menus
- Conduct tastings and inspections to maintain consistency, freshness, flavor, and presentation
- Monitor ingredient and supply levels and coordinate timely replenishment
- Minimize waste and maximize efficiency in ingredient usage
- Guide and instruct junior staff in specific culinary techniques
- Mentor less experienced cooks to help refine their skills and maintain kitchen standards
- Enforce sanitation, cleaning, equipment maintenance, and food-handling procedures
- Keep up with Pizza making and Italian cuisine trends and incorporate suitable ideas and techniques
- Attend culinary events, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Italian cooking techniques and Pizza making techniques
- Food safety standards, sanitation and hygiene regulations
- Quality control and food presentation
- Kitchen operations management and inventory management
- Supervisory skills, leadership and team management, and staff training and mentoring
- Planning and organization, English language, MS Office, and POS systems
- Culinary Artspreferred
