What you'll do
- Prepare a wide variety of pastries using traditional and modern recipes
- Create new and appealing desserts to refresh menus and attract customer interest
- Decorate desserts with glazes and toppings for an attractive presentation
- Monitor key ingredient stocks and place appropriate orders within budget
- Check ingredient quality and the condition of preparation equipment and appliances
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow health and safety standards
Key requirements
- 2+ years' experience
- Pastry preparation and dessert creation
- Pastry decoration
- Inventory monitoring and budget management
- Ingredient quality control and kitchen equipment inspection
- Food hygiene and safety procedures
- English language
- Culinary Artspreferred
