What you'll do
- Prepare and cook diverse dishes following standardized recipes and adjust portion sizes
- Monitor food quality throughout cooking for consistency and taste, adjusting seasonings as needed
- Collaborate with Head or Executive Chef to develop new dishes and assist with seasonal menus
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Mentor and train junior cooks and kitchen staff
- Share knowledge of cooking techniques and best practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen following health and safety regulations
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Advanced cooking skills with expertise in various techniques and cuisines
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation regulations
- Creativity in dish preparation and menu development
- Strong communication, teamwork, and mentoring skills
- Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office
- Culinary Artspreferred
