What you'll do
- Prepare and cook varied dishes according to recipes and portion sizes
- Monitor dish quality and adjust seasoning and ingredients as needed
- Develop new dishes and support seasonal and special menus
- Adapt dishes to guest preferences and dietary requirements
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service
- Mentor and train less experienced cooks and kitchen team members
- Share knowledge of cooking techniques and best practices
- Keep the kitchen clean and organised while following health and safety regulations
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Advanced cooking skills and food preparation and cooking
- Cooking techniques and cuisines
- Food safety, food hygiene regulations and kitchen procedures
- Quality control, menu development and dietary requirements
- Kitchen operations, training and mentoring, and time management
- English language, computer skills and MS Office
- Culinary Artspreferred
