What you'll do
- Lead strategic advisory, research and innovation projects on EU security and defence issues
- Conduct research and technical analysis on EU defence, security and border management topics
- Develop cost-benefit evaluations and risk assessments to inform decision-making
- Write and oversee strategic studies, policy briefs and advisory reports
- Manage and mentor junior consultants and analysts
- Plan projects, allocate resources, manage timelines and deliver advisory outputs
- Manage senior client relationships and lead stakeholder engagement
- Present strategic findings to EU institutional decision-makers
- Use artificial intelligence and data analytics tools to improve research and operational efficiency
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations
- Contribute to thought leadership and capability building in EU security and defence
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- EU security policy and defence strategy; Border management
- Qualitative and quantitative research; Technical analysis; Applied science, technology, and engineering research
- Strategic report writing; Technical specifications; Business process analysis
- Stakeholder management; English communication; Microsoft Office
- Team management and mentoring; Project planning and delivery
- Risk assessment; Cost-benefit evaluation
- Security Policy / Defense and Security Studies / Border Management / Any Field
