The American College of Greece seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join the Study Abroad Office as a Study Abroad Specialist. The successful candidate will support the College’s strategic initiatives to increase outbound study abroad participation by providing advising, managing administrative processes, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the smooth operation of study abroad programs.Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide comprehensive information and guidance to students regarding study abroad opportunities, including program options, eligibility requirements, deadlines, and procedures.</li><li>Assist students with applications and required documentation.</li><li>Support pre-departure and re-entry orientations.</li><li>Respond to student inquiries via email, phone, and in-person appointments.</li><li>Maintain accurate records, applications, and databases related to outbound study abroad participation.</li><li>Conduct follow-ups with prospective and participating students.</li><li>Assist in planning and coordinating information sessions and outreach events.</li><li>Promote study abroad opportunities across the campus community.</li><li>Maintain effective communication and collaboration with students and ACG offices.</li><li>Manage and update Study Abroad Office social media accounts.</li><li>Assist with orientation activities, excursions, and program-related events.</li><li>Perform additional duties as needed to support the effective operation of study abroad programs.</li></ul>Required Knowledge:<ul><li>Knowledge of the North American higher education systems, particularly in recruitment cycles and admissions processes for study abroad students.</li><li>Understanding of prospective undergraduate students’ needs.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required (degree in Education or a related field preferred).</li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience in higher education, preferably in a study abroad or international education setting.</li><li>Experience as a participant, organizer, or administrator in study abroad programs is preferred.</li><li>Fluency in English and Greek.</li><li>Background in international education or higher education administration is considered an asset.</li></ul>Required Skills:<ul><li>Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with student information and outreach systems.</li><li>Excellent time management and prioritization skills.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-oriented approach.</li><li>Ability to build effective working relationships with diverse populations.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.</li><li>Cultural sensitivity and strong cross-cultural communication skills.</li></ul>Other Requirements:<ul><li>Flexibility in working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, when required.</li></ul>

Study Abroad Specialist

The MS/HS Librarian fosters a vibrant Learning Commons program that promotes reading engagement, information literacy, research skills, and ethical use of information. Working closely with students and faculty, the Librarian supports learning across disciplines through instruction, resource curation, collaborative planning, and the development of an inclusive and inspiring learning environment.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Promote Literacy and a Love of Reading:<ul><li>Design and implement initiatives that encourage reading engagement, lifelong learning, and a strong school-wide culture of literacy for students ages 12–18.</li><li>Coordinates with the Elementary School librarian for the implementation of a program designed to help fifth graders transition from Elementary School to Middle School with a focus on library services/resources/policies</li></ul></li><li>Teach Information Literacy and Research Skills:<ul><li>Provide direct instruction and embedded support in research, inquiry, evaluation of sources, digital citizenship, academic integrity, and ethical use of information.</li></ul></li><li>Center on Learners:<ul><li>Guides upper Academy students with writing assignments and researches</li><li>Develop inclusive, student-centered experiences and differentiate support for diverse learners, ensuring equitable access to resources and learning opportunities.</li></ul></li><li>Collaborate and Co-Teach:<ul><li>Partner with MS/HS teachers to design and deliver interdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with curriculum goals and best practices.</li></ul></li><li>Develop and Manage Collections:<ul><li>Curate, evaluate, and maintain a relevant, diverse, and balanced collection of print and digital resources aligned with academic programs and student interests.</li></ul></li><li>Leverage Technology and Digital Tools:<ul><li>Support students and faculty in using digital resources, databases, library systems, and educational technologies to enhance learning and research.</li></ul></li><li>Create an Inclusive and Welcoming Learning Commons:<ul><li>Maintain an environment that reflects diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, supporting student well-being and purposeful engagement.</li></ul></li><li>Monitor and Support Learning:<ul><li>Use ongoing feedback and data (usage, circulation, learning outcomes, student needs) to refine services, strengthen programming, and improve resource alignment.</li></ul></li><li>Support Professional Learning:<ul><li>Contribute to faculty growth through resource sharing and instructional support around inquiry, research design, media literacy, and instructional tools.</li></ul></li><li>Support Co-curricular and Community Activities:<ul><li>Participate in school events, student clubs, reading initiatives, author visits, exhibitions, and other Learning Commons-related activities.</li></ul></li><li>Additional Responsibilities:<ul><li>Carry out other duties as assigned by school leadership. </li></ul></li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field (preferred: MLIS or equivalent)</li><li>Library/media certification or equivalent qualification (preferred)</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in a school library or similar educational setting</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English</li><li>Strong technology skills, including digital resources and library management systems</li><li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills</li><li>Commitment to student-centered learning, inclusion, and continuous improvement</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and protection of children</li></ul>

Librarian

The Department of Communication, Frances Rich School Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Deree-The American College of Greece is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate must have a solid academic background and practical knowledge in advertising communication, especially in one or more of the following areas: digital marketing, strategic planning, and/or brand management.
