What you need to be successful <ul><li>University and/or Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.</li><li>1+ years experience in technical leadership and/or engineering management roles</li><li>Strong background in backend engineering</li><li>Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and coach a team.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of any modern programming language (with ideally relevant experience in Go).</li><li>Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems (e.g. MongoDB, Redis, Postgres).</li><li>Familiarity with SOLID principles and software design patterns.</li><li>Excellent eye for detail and a self-motivated problem solver.</li><li>Superior analytical skills and a strong sense of urgency and ownership in your work.</li><li>Ability to get up to speed with new systems and concepts quickly.</li><li>Keen to constantly learn and improve your own skills, and not afraid to jump into new things.</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills (English is a must).</li></ul>Nice to have:<ul><li>Familiarity with at least one major cloud services provider (experience with AWS is a plus).</li><li>Familiarity with AWS SQS/SNS, Apache Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ</li><li>Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and DevOps practices&nbsp;</li><li>Involvement with open source projects is a plus</li></ul>
