attica department stores is currently in search of an experienced Accountant as a part of our General Accounting Department at our headquarters in Athens.About Attica: Attica is the leading fashion &amp; beauty destination in Greece, a one-stop-shop for designer brands in Athens and Thessaloniki. With the flagship store housed in City Link, an historical building near Syntagma Square in the center of Athens, and two more stores in Maroussi (northern suburbs of Athens), as well as two in Thessaloniki (one at Tsimiski street in the center of the city and one within the Mediterranean Cosmos Shopping Center), attica offers complete sections of women’s, men’s and children’s fashionwear, footwear, beauty and accessories, along with a wide range of excellent, personalized services.Key Accountabilities:<ul><li>Reconciliation of General Ledger, Vendor and Customer balances, on a daily, monthly basis.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial data to the MyData platform (AADE).</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely recording of all accounting transactions.</li><li>Manage fixed assets register, including capitalization, depreciation and reconciliations.</li><li>Collaborate with internal departments and external partners (tax advisors, auditors).</li><li>Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.</li><li>Support accounting process improvements and internal controls.</li></ul>Skills Required:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance.</li><li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant role with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and/or IFRS accounting standards requirements.</li><li>Proven working experience in ERP Systems.
