Sunsail is recruiting flotilla technicians based in Greece and Croatia to work in the Mediterranean for the Summer. Full seasonal roles are available on a one-week or two-week flotilla route. Full and high-season positions are open, and following successful summer placements, winter opportunities may be available.Primary duties will centre around the yachts, the base and ports of call. You and your lead boat team will be the face of the company. Working hours vary, and you MUST be flexible to operational requirements. You may sometimes be required to assist with other flotillas or base duties. At the beginning and end of the season, you may be asked to carry out fleet re-fit/lay-up. The yachts are prepared for the upcoming season or furloughed for winter during these periods. It is important to be flexible within your job role and understand that you may be required to move between different resorts or departments according to operational needs, as well as be happy to cover a flotilla or bareboat skipper role at times.What will you be doing<ul><li>Deliver RYA courses, aligning with RYA regulations and company standards</li><li>Deliver company-specific courses as per standards, policies, and procedures</li><li>Assisting with the ‘flotilla hero’ product where required, instructing whilst also being a part of the flotilla</li><li>Meeting and greeting guests and conducting a welcome brief on board.</li><li>Carry out basic yacht maintenance</li><li>Liaise with the Chief Instructor and report any maintenance problems or damage to the yachts</li><li>Be responsible for the standard of the sailing school yachts throughout the season, including cleaning, inventory monitoring, and maintenance where required.</li><li>Ensure accurate paperwork is completed as per local laws and regulations</li><li>Provide excellent customer service at all times</li><li>Any other duties within your ability as requested by your line manager</li></ul>What we are looking for<ul><li>RYA Cruising Instructor commercially endorsed with a valid medical certificate (ENG1/ML5)</li><li>Valid First Aid Certificate or equivalent</li><li>Recent Criminal Record Check (ACRO or DBS)</li><li>Fundamental yacht maintenance skills</li><li>A flexible and reliable member of the team</li><li>Ability to work through pressurised conditions and make and deliver difficult decisions</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Safety conscious</li><li>Knowledge of health and safety legislation</li><li>Experience in a customer-focused environment</li><li>An adaptable character who can adjust to different circumstances</li></ul>Package<ul><li>industry-standard salary</li><li>Accommodation</li><li>Return flights from your home country to the base</li><li>Uniform</li><li>Travel Insurance</li><li>Staff deals on yacht holidays</li><li>Global career opportunities</li><li>Sponsorship opportunities for top-performing team members</li></ul>
