We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Eurolife FFH team.

Role Responsibilities

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Processing financial information and post daily journal entries into the accounting system with efficiency and accuracy.

• Performing reconciliations with the company’s core systems on a daily/monthly basis.

• Supporting month-end and year-end financial closing process.

• Co-operating with the accounting team to ensure the smooth operation of all finance-related matters.

• Reviewing and reconciling transactions against bank statements to ensure payments are being processed in a timely manner.

• Tracking and monitoring accounts receivable and payable.

• Assisting in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements.

• Preparing analysis of accounts on regular and/or ad-hoc basis to support the projects of the accounting department.

• Performing fixed assets register maintenance.

 Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Relevant work experience of 1 - 2 years ideally within an insurance company.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration or similar. Master’s degree is desirable but not mandatory.

• Good Knowledge of IFRS and Accounting.

• Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

• Strong communication skills both in Greek and English.

• Results oriented and able to deliver under pressure to short deadlines, while coping with changing priorities.

• Ability to be both a team player and work independently.
