Monitor and control the safe and cost-efficient technical operation of assigned LNG vessels using the available resources, the defined parameters of cost, commercial viability, and operational excellence in line with Owners’ expectations. &nbsp; Key Accountabilities: Technical Support <ul><li>Understand the customers’ contractual agreements to be able to deliver the ship management services for each vessel, in a cost-efficient manner. </li><li>Review the compliance of deliverables from subcontractors’ agreements and requirements to ensure the optimum, efficient, and safe operation of each assigned vessel. </li><li>Monitor the operations of equipment and machineries, identify potential discrepancies, and suggest solutions to enhance vessels’ efficiency, performance, and safety. </li><li>Participate in the development of maintenance and repairs plan. Ensure that time schedule, deliverables quality and budget are within the borders of the contractual agreement and organization’s procedure. </li><li>Project the requirements in maintenance and repairs activities, spare parts, and technical training of the vessels. Forecast the budget needed, report to Manager and remain within the limits of the established maintenance plan. Technical Superintendent - LNG

The commercial and operational container shipping activity is carried out in the Metals &amp; Minerals division under the Operations Department Management. The Container Shipping Operator is responsible to fully optimize the shipping operations by following adequate processes to ensure a smooth and efficient execution of the activity.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Markets and related dynamics awareness about commodities, volumes, stakeholders, local supply chain, purchase/sale incoterms, local requirements and specificities.</li><li>Ports operations monitoring involving containers supply, ports congestion and local activities.</li><li>Shipments booking observing carriers’ nominations and following commercial shipping team instructions.</li><li>Space allocations management.</li><li>Shipments organization and follow-up from load port to discharge port including transshipment operations and eventual cargo diversions to ensure a full shipments optimization.</li><li>Shipping documentation follow-up including shipping instructions submission, packing lists verification, BL drafts approval, LC requirements observation, timely OBL issuance and dispatch.</li><li>Communication and coordination with all concerned stakeholders (warehouses, shipping lines, customs agents, etc) and in-house departments (trading, operations, finance, accounting, etc).</li><li>Costs disputes (containers damages, demurrage and/or detention) handling and escalation.</li><li>Freight invoices verification and payments approbation.</li><li>Carriers statement of accounts management, observing the pre-agreed credit terms.</li><li>Monthly statistics reporting.</li></ul>Abilities, Experience and Qualifications:<ul><li>Previous experience (minimum 3 years) in the shipping industry (preferably in shipping operations related departments at a shipping line or at a freight forwarding company).</li><li>Familiar with Incoterms &amp; Shipping terms</li><li>Good knowledge of shipping documentation processes</li><li>Good maritime geography knowledge</li><li>Good level of MS Office applications (excel, PowerPoint)</li></ul>Competencies:<ul><li>Organized and diligent</li><li>Problem solver</li><li>Team player</li><li>Ability to work under pressure</li><li>Strong communication skills</li><li>Open Personality with energy and drive</li></ul>Key Relationships and Department Overview:<ul><li>Cargo operations</li><li>Traders</li><li>Trade finance</li></ul>
