Responsibilities:<ul><li>Communicates to Masters Voyage instructions, port requirements, local regulations, cargo requirements and precautions, ship’s charter party description and applicable clauses.</li><li>Checks&nbsp;cargo docs, LOIs, bunker requirements and authorizes bunker invoices.</li><li>Issues voyage instructions, ship’s cargo holds preparation instructions and Monitors ship’s cargo holds condition and preparation.</li><li>Communicates with charterers via broking channels.</li><li>Monitors the actual day-to-day performance and financial expenditure of the vessels.</li><li>Coordinates with Chartering department in describing vessel’s particular characteristics and reviews Charter Party clauses.</li><li>Appoints cargo and bunker surveyors and port agents and arranges various services that the ship requires. Updates position list and position books, checks with agent the ship’s prospects and approves D/As.</li><li>Liaises with the Insurance and Claims Departments in handling of claims, hazardous situations, accidents and P &amp; I involvement.</li><li>Monitors the performance of the vessels based on charter party and Company’s requirements and guidelines. Also monitors the daily performance at Sea with regards to speed, consumption and weather conditions.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>5&nbsp;years of office experience as Operator&nbsp;in a shipping company with bulk carriers.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>Computer literate.</li><li>Communication &amp; negotiation skills.</li></ul>

Fleet Operator

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Support SOX Compliance program to ensure that Company’s internal controls over financial reporting are effectively implemented. Main tasks of the program involve the evaluation of the existing controls’ effectiveness through testing procedures, identification and evaluation of audit findings and remediation follow-up. &nbsp;Assist in the preparation of SOX scoping, risk assessment and fraud risk assessment using quantitative and qualitative factors.</li><li>Participate in meetings with Company’s key personnel to gain understanding of Company’s processes and existing controls.</li><li>Assist in the preparation and provision of documentation related to process walkthroughs.</li><li>Assisting in execution of planned and ad-hoc internal audits projects through all phases of the audit (documentation review, fieldwork, recommendations and remediation follow-up).</li><li>Identify, document and communicate audit findings to the members of Internal Audit Department. Participate and assist in the preparation of presentations to the Company’s Audit Committee and Management.</li><li>Communicate with Company’s external auditors around SOX Compliance program, as well as any other Company’s independent auditor and/ or consultant.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant field.</li><li>Up to 4 years of experience in Big Four or in an internal audit / accounting/ finance department of a public shipping company.</li><li>Professional qualifications (e.g. CIA) and/ or postgraduate degree in accounting/ finance/ business administration related fields will be considered an asset.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and experience in internal audit, SOX will be considered an asset.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge in Accounting ERP systems (i.e. Navision) will be considered an asset.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially in Excel.</li><li>Fluency in English, both verbal and written.</li></ul>

Internal Auditor

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Installs and configures computer hardware operating systems and applications.</li><li>Sets up new users' accounts and profiles.</li><li>Supports the office personnel through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.</li><li>Performs hands-on technical maintenance tasks on the Company’s servers, telephone cables, desktops, operating systems and software applications.</li><li>Troubleshoots system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Telecommunications, or any similar field.</li><li>Previous experience in a similar position on IT related job will be considered an asset.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>Excellent communication skills.</li></ul>

Junior IT Officer

Responsibilities:<ol><li>Analyses fleet emission and performance data that will be used in the feasibility studies of new technologies.</li><li>Issues internal reports on fleet emissions and other relevant subjects.</li><li>Attends vessels to perform in situ research and gather relevant data, as required.</li><li>Cooperates with other departments to identify means and actions required to improve performance and reduce vessels’ emissions.</li><li>Coordinates with the Technical / Operations / Vessels’ Performance Monitoring departments to gather relevant data and operational feedback.</li><li>Cooperates with Vessels’ Performance Monitoring &amp; IT departments to collect, store and transmit vessel’s data to the head office.</li><li>Investigates and researches new technologies, conducting their evaluation through feasibility studies (techno-economic reports).</li></ol>Qualifications / Experience:1. BSc in Naval Architecture, Engineering, Mathematics Physics or Business related field. 2. Post-graduate degree in a relevant field will be considered an asset. 3. Minimum 2 years of experience at a similar position. 4. Excellent analytical, presentation and reporting skills. 5. Fluency in English. 6. Computer literate.

Research & Development Analyst

Software Engineer

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Organizes and implements courses of action for matters of technical nature arising onboard vessels.</li><li>Instructs, coordinates and monitors works / repairs.</li><li>Follows up on the maintenance status, condition and operation of assigned vessels and co-operates with the crew, in order to ensure that assigned vessels are operating in a safe and efficient manner.</li><li>Attends vessels and periodically sails on-board to ensure the technical condition of the equipment.</li><li>Monitors and verifies vessel’s performance, supervises repairs, reports findings, follows-up closure of defects etc.</li><li>Provides training and technical advice to shipboard personnel, as necessary.</li><li>Implements effectively preventive maintenance of ship’s hull, main machinery, deck machinery, etc.</li><li>Monitors Class and Flag State requirements and plans required surveys accordingly.</li><li>Deals with any damage repairs or modifications, preserving the vessels commercial competence.</li><li>Monitors all technical problems, major defects and follows-up, until corrective action is verified.</li><li>Controls and monitors the lub-oil and bunker quality and consumption.</li><li>Prepares repairs / conversions, dry-docking, special surveys, damage and voyage repairs, and specifications and supervises the execution of all such works.</li><li>Attends delivery of new acquisitions.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:1. Degree in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture and minimum 6 years of office experience or Chief Engineer’s license, minimum 3 years of sea service as Chief Engineer and 1 year of office experience as Superintendent Engineer.2. Technical Superintendent

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Installs, configures and troubleshoots laptops, printers, mobiles, tablets, storage systems and network devices (hardware, operating systems and software applications).</li><li>Monitors IT systems’ performance and ensures system availability and reliability.</li><li>Performs system and network updates/upgrades.</li><li>Maintains IT security and backup solutions.</li><li>Is responsible to ensure Master’s and Chief Engineer’s familiarization on company’s IT systems.</li><li>Travels on board for maintenance or troubleshooting reasons, whenever required.</li><li>Handles invoices’ checking, reconciliation, processing and filing for all vendors and technical / solution&nbsp;suppliers (office communications, vessels’ satellite and mobile communications, ICT equipment,&nbsp;procurement).</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or diploma in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or any similar field.</li><li>Post-graduate studies in a relevant discipline will be considered an asset.</li><li>Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar position.</li><li>Experience in shipping and knowledge of ships automation systems will be considered an asset.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>Excellent communication skills.</li></ul>

Vessels IT Officer

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Performs day-to-day activities such as accounting entries, register and filing, bank and other general ledger accounts reconciliations.</li><li>Reviews and posts all accounts receivable invoices in IMOS and Navision prepared by operations department.</li><li>Books in IMOS and Navision all accounts payable invoices and maintains all vendors’ accounts on a daily basis.</li><li>Books in IMOS and Navision all AR collections.</li><li>Performs quarterly, year-end revenue and voyage expenses accrual process.</li><li>Analyzes voyage P&amp;Ls and ensures that the TCE results are accurate. Provides oversight over Operations data input into IMOS on a daily basis.</li><li>Performs account analysis relating to revenue, expenses and other voyage accounting issues.</li><li>Performs reconciliations between IMOS and Navision on a quarterly basis.</li><li>Prepares journal entries relating to bunker inventory and performs inventory statement reconciliation on a quarterly basis.</li><li>Coordinates all voyage related payables by ensuring approved invoices are processed.</li><li>Prepares voyage analysis and vessel closing.</li><li>Closes coordination with Treasury, Commercial and Operations.</li><li>Posts invoices/suppliers’ statements to the Greek Statutory Books (My Data).</li><li>Supports all periodic Tax and VAT submissions for the Companies of Law 89/67.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor degree in Accounting/ Finance or any relevant field.</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in various accounting areas.</li><li>Experience in the shipping industry.</li><li>Knowledge of Navision and IMOS will be considered an asset.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>Computer literacy.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure.</li></ul>

Voyage Accountant

Patrol all areas of the property; assist guests with room access. Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system. Lock property entrances when required. Conduct daily physical hazard inspections. Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required. Assist guests/employees during emergency situations. Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents. Defuse guest/employee disturbances. Call for outside assistance if necessary. Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents. Handle all interruptions and complaints. Resolve safety hazard situations. Escort any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation. Report to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts. Call for assistance using proper code responses. Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report. Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents; release information only to authorized individuals. Conduct investigations and gather evidence. Conduct interviews with relevant parties.&nbsp;Follow all company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
