Angelicoussis Group, one of the world’s leading ship management organizations, is looking for an experienced and motivated professional to cover a permanent position as an Insurance Officer. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manages insurance databases and spreadsheets for marine and non-marine covers, ensuring accuracy and completeness;</li><li>Completes application forms and distributes insurance documents internally;</li><li>Inputs insurance contracts into relevant software systems;</li><li>Maintains insurance-related statistics and conducts market research;</li><li>Processes financial transactions and payments within the SAP system;</li><li>Handles calls to War Risks AP areas and manages additional premiums;</li><li>Maintains claims database, submits reimbursement requests, and monitors collections;</li><li>Provides internal support on insurance queries;</li><li>Prepares insurance-related spreadsheets and presentations, and maintains department intranet section;</li><li>Conducts sanctions checks to ensure compliance and maintain records of findings;</li></ul>Candidate must have<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies or Business Administration</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in marine insurance underwriting, claims handling, brokerage or with an insurance team of a shipmanagement company</li><li>Strong knowledge of marine insurance products, terminology and industry practices</li><li>Fluency with numbers and good command of MS Office (especially MS Excel)</li><li>Very good command of the English language</li><li>Team spirit, excellent communication skills</li></ul>The Company offers an attractive compensation and benefits package, as well as career opportunities. Insurance Officer

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Communicates to Masters Voyage instructions, port requirements, local regulations, cargo requirements and precautions, ship’s charter party description and applicable clauses.</li><li>Checks&nbsp;cargo docs, LOIs, bunker requirements and authorizes bunker invoices.</li><li>Issues voyage instructions, ship’s cargo holds preparation instructions and Monitors ship’s cargo holds condition and preparation.</li><li>Communicates with charterers via broking channels.</li><li>Monitors the actual day-to-day performance and financial expenditure of the vessels.</li><li>Coordinates with Chartering department in describing vessel’s particular characteristics and reviews Charter Party clauses.</li><li>Appoints cargo and bunker surveyors and port agents and arranges various services that the ship requires. Updates position list and position books, checks with agent the ship’s prospects and approves D/As.</li><li>Liaises with the Insurance and Claims Departments in handling of claims, hazardous situations, accidents and P &amp; I involvement.</li><li>Monitors the performance of the vessels based on charter party and Company’s requirements and guidelines. Also monitors the daily performance at Sea with regards to speed, consumption and weather conditions.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>5&nbsp;years of office experience as Operator&nbsp;in a shipping company with bulk carriers.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>Computer literate.</li><li>Communication &amp; negotiation skills.</li></ul>
