Company’s activities extend to shipping and bunkering businesses. Currently, we are searching to hire a&nbsp;GL Accountant to handle general ledger accounting and tax compliance, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to tax regulations.<h2>During your day you will:</h2><ul><li>Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.</li><li>Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.</li><li>Conduct month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.</li><li>Prepare and files tax returns, including sales tax, VAT, income tax, and ensures compliance with all relevant tax regulations.</li><li>Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assesses their impact on the company.</li><li>Prepare financial statements reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements under Greek GAAP and IFRS.</li><li>Ensure financial reports comply with accounting standards and company policies.</li><li>Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.</li><li>Implement audit recommendations and ensures compliance with internal controls.</li></ul>&nbsp;<h2>What you need to stand out:</h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.</li><li>MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization would be considered a plus.</li><li>3-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting and tax compliance, preferably within the retail industry.</li><li>Sound knowledge of retail accounting.</li><li>Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.</li><li>Working knowledge of SAP functionalities and processes.</li><li>Excellent communications skills both verbal and written, in Greek and English languages.</li><li>Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).</li><li>Analytical thinking.</li><li>Team player.</li><li>Organizational &amp; time management skills&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Our Compass is the #ACTION#A_uthenticity#C_ompassion#T_eamwork#I_ntegrity#O_wnership#N_ever giving up&nbsp;&nbsp;What gives us energy:<ul><li>Friendly and fast paced environment, being always at the heart of the #action</li><li>Continuous learning to empower our teams</li><li>Career Development opportunities across the Motor Oil Group</li><li>Competitive compensation package</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;*We @Motor Oil Group are an equal opportunity employer.Our hiring decisions are based solely on qualifications, merit, and business needs.
