Περιγραφή Θέσης

The Frances Rich School of Fine and Performing Arts at Deree – The American College of Greece is seeking a Part-Time Instructor to teach Graphic Design courses within the Arts and Creative Industries Department.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in UX/UI Design, Digital Arts/Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (preferably in Graphic Design/Visual Communication Design).

Experience:

  • Professional experience in Visual Communication Design / Graphic Design.
  • Teaching experience in undergraduate and/or graduate programs, preferably at an English-speaking institution.
  • At least one degree from a US or UK institution.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in design and digital tools.

Knowledge:

The ideal candidate should have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Usability & UX Design
  • Web & App Design
  • Digital Tools for UI Design
  • Critical and Creative Thinking in Problem-Solving
  • Fundamentals of Visual Systems & UI Design
  • Designing Physical and Digital Experiences
  • Participatory & Co-Design
  • Futures Design, Strategy & Innovation
  • Code for Designers

General Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong command of spoken and written English.
  • Commitment to student-centered, interactive teaching with an emphasis on professional and interpersonal communication.
  • Passion for innovative pedagogy and fostering a dynamic, inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.
  • Potential for scholarly research engagement.

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience with online and hybrid teaching.
  • Active engagement with design and technology communities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate theory and practice in design education.
  • Familiarity with emerging trends and futures design methodologies.
