mining engineer (me.01)

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious professional, to cover the position of Mining Engineer (ME.01), as part of our Quarry Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assessing the feasibility and the potential for commercial benefit of new sites

• Ascertaining extraction risks

• Producing models or plans for possible mining sites

• Planning and implementing extraction systems

• Using specialist computer applications to maximize planning and production

• Managing mining operations

• Ensuring that operations comply with health and safety requirements

• Making sure that the equipment used is safe

• Training and supervising staff

• Liaising with and advising managerial and technical staff

• Analyzing data

• Keeping records

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Preferred: 3-5 years progressive experience ideally in marble quarries

• University degree in Mining Engineering or Mineral Resources

• Master degree would be an asset

• Proficiency in English at a written and oral level is a prerequisite

• Excellent PC literacy, advanced user of Microsoft Applications

• Be able to communicate and cooperate with the team

• Be highly motivated and passionate at work
