senior data modeler & bi developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeler & BI Developer to support the migration and optimization of complex reporting systems to Microsoft Fabric. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and the client to design, implement, and adapt BI reports and data models, ensuring a smooth transition from SSAS-based structures to modern Fabric architecture. This role requires strong expertise in data modeling, BI tools, and Microsoft technologies, combined with a hands-on approach and strong problem-solving skills.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

• Analyzing existing SSAS structures (tables, connectivity, basic measures etc)
• Documenting existing reports, including required tables, fields, and measures
• Designing and implementing Data Marts and semantic models in Microsoft Fabric
• Adapting and migrating reports to the new environment, ensuring proper integration with Fabric models
• Conducting reconciliation and testing to ensure accuracy and data consistency
• Collaborating daily with client teams onsite, ensuring alignment and smooth project execution
• Providing technical guidance to junior team members and ensuring best practices in BI and data modeling

Who You Are: Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in BI development and data modeling
• Strong knowledge of SSAS (Multidimensional & Tabular models)
• Proven experience in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Data Mart architecture
• Expertise in developing semantic models and optimizing data structures
• Hands-on experience in similar SSAS to Fabric migration projects
• Solid understanding of testing, reconciliation, and validation processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate onsite with client teams
• High work ethic, attention to detail, and focus on quality deliverables
• Motivation for continuous learning and development
• Fluent in English & Greek (written and verbal)
• Military Obligations completed (if applicable)
