We are seeking reliable and proactive Application Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be the first and second line of support for our enterprise web applications built on React (front-end) and Spring Boot (back-end). You will be responsible for incident resolution, issue assessment and prioritization, user communication, and escalating problems where necessary.


This is a client-facing, operations-critical role requiring strong problem-solving, communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.


The key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Monitor application health using logs, dashboards, and alerts.
  • Handle incoming support requests via JIRA ticketing system or email.
  • Perform initial diagnosis, gather relevant information, and resolve common issues (e.g., login errors, UI glitches, browser issues).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve more complex application issues, including backend/API-related problems.
  • Analyze logs from application servers, databases, and monitoring tools (e.g., Azure 
  • Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics, ELK, Grafana).
  • Perform root cause analysis and propose fixes or workarounds.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to development teams.
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams and users regarding issue status and resolution.
  • Document known issues and resolutions in the knowledge base.
  • Work closely with developers, DevOps, and QA to ensure reliable application performance.
  • Support deployment activities and post-release validation.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation (if required) for production support.

To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills):

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in application or IT support roles.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (preferably React, Spring Boot).
  • Ability to read and understand application/server logs.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL (e.g., querying PostgreSQL or MySQL).
  • Familiarity with Linux command-line tools.
  • Ability to navigate and troubleshoot within Linux-based environments.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and using tools like Postman
