manager procurement consultant

The successful candidate will be part of an expert team specialized in running Business Transformation Projects with a focus in Supply Chain and Operations. In the context of his/her engagement he/she may be required to assist for a certain period the Procurement function of company’s customers.

The role in more details:

• 
  
• Work constructively in cross-functional teams with strict deadlines
• Act as an interface between suppliers and end-user departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities
• Initiate tendering process for internationally procured goods each in compliance with company’s General Conditions of Purchasing
• Prepare quotations templates on the ERP System for evaluation and supplier selection
• Negotiate purchases or/and contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers, and review opportunities to make business savings, utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods
• Prepare and raise Purchase Orders on SAP4HANA and send them to the Suppliers
• Manage the contract approval process with the involvement of other departments
• Monitor and expedite urgent purchase orders to ensure the timely delivery and compliance
• Search the market for new sources of supply to ensure the availability of alternative suppliers
• Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues.

To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills):

• Bachelor's degree in business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering 
• 5-10 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in consulting will be consider as a great asset
• Very good knowledge of MS office
• Experience in SAP4HANA Platform and relevant applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
• Ability to communicate in English & Greek
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations
• Qualitative and timely completion of work and tasks
• Good commercial awareness
• Ability to develop and deliver high quality services and solutions
• An extremely high work ethic
• Motivation for career progression and development
• Military Obligations completed
