With more than 45 years of experience, Atlantica Hotels &amp; Resorts is a prime example of innovation, offering a dynamic work environment.We seek a talented individual to join the headquarters accounting team as a&nbsp;Hotel Accountant&nbsp;in&nbsp;Rhodes&nbsp;island .The&nbsp;Hotel Accountant&nbsp;is responsible for managing the financial operations within the Hotel. This includes overseeing accounting tasks such as financial reporting, day-to-day accounting entries, assessment vs budget and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.Key Responsibilities:<ol><li>Financial Reporting:</li></ol><ul><li>Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.</li><li>Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.</li><li>Reconcile daily expenditures and bank transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.</li></ul><ol><li>Budgeting and Forecasting:</li></ol><ul><li>Assist in preparing the annual budget and financial forecasts.</li><li>Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures and identify variances.</li><li>Provide insights and recommendations to management regarding financial performance and cost control.</li></ul><ol><li>Audit and Compliance:</li></ol><ul><li>Ensure compliance with hotel policies and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).</li><li>Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.</li><li>Assist in resolving any audit findings or discrepancies.</li></ul>Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>Education: A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.</li><li>Experience: Previous experience in accounting, preferably in the hospitality or hotel industry will be considered an asset.</li><li>Skills:</li><li>Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.</li><li>Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Softone, Entersoft etc).</li><li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.</li><li>Good communication skills, with the ability to work with hotel management and staff.</li></ul>&nbsp;Benefits<ul><li>Competitive salary and other benefits (as per local legislation)</li><li>Advanced opportunities for professional growth</li><li>Accommodation (if necessary)</li><li>Participation in educational programs</li><li>Diverse and multicultural environments</li><li>Professional skills development</li><li>All-year position</li></ul>
