The Alpha Talent Acceleration Program | Market Risk Control is designed for ambitious early-career professionals eager to fast-track their careers and make a lasting impact in the area of Market Risk within a large financial institution.

During this 12-month program you will be working in Alpha Bank’s Market Risk Control Business Area. With on-the-job training and guidance, you will be able to participate in activities to identify risks related to market fluctuations.

What you will be doing

Contribute to the daily production and validation of market risk reports, such as VaR and FRTB sensitivities.
Support the calculation of the capital requirements for the Bank’s trading portfolio.
Monitor risk exposures against approved limits and escalate any breaches accordingly.
Support the review and analysis of counterparty credit exposures for derivative transactions.
Contribute to the calculation and reporting of Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA) and related metrics.
Validate and reconcile market data, trade information, and risk metrics to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Prepare presentation material, briefing packs, and provide general support for internal or regulatory meetings.

What you need to have

A Bachelor’s and/or a postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Finance, Risk, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or in any other related field.
Some previous work experience in market risk and/or in the banking or in the financial industry will be considered an asset.
Excellent oral and written communication skills both in Greek and in English.
Attention to detail, methodical approach, and analytical thinking.
Proficient use of the MS Office applications.
Familiarity with a programming language is considered an asset.
