The Department of Communication, Frances Rich School Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Deree-The American College of Greece is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate must have a solid academic background and practical knowledge in advertising communication, especially in one or more of the following areas: digital marketing, strategic planning, and/or brand management. Responsibilities for the position include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research in one or more of the above areas, contributing to curriculum development, and providing service to the Department/School and the College.Qualifications:<ul><li>PhD in advertsing communication or a related field.</li><li>Track record of publications and/or grant funding</li><li>Eligibility for Ministry of Education registration number.</li></ul>Required field knowledge &amp; experience:<ul><li>Proficient knowledge in the broader field of advertising communication and of at least one of areas identified in this call : digital marketing, strategic planning, and/or brand management.</li><li>Very good knowledge of the advertising industry and related professional practices.</li><li>Clearly defined research interests and expertise in digital marketing, strategic planning, and/or brand management.</li><li>Teaching experience at undergraduate and/or graduate levels, preferably at a US or UK higher education institution.</li></ul>Desired field knowledge and experience:<ul><li>Experience in the advertising industry.</li><li>Knowledge of more than one area of study in advertising communication identified in this call.</li><li>Administrative experience as area/programme coordinator or director of studies.</li><li>Experience in course and curriculum design and development.</li><li>Experience in accreditation or validation of academic programmes.</li></ul>General Skills:<ul><li>Dependability.</li><li>A commitment to student-centered learning.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding command of spoken and written English</li><li>Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.</li></ul>

Assistant professor in Advertising Communication

The PE Teacher reports to the relevant Principal (Elementary, Middle or High School).&nbsp;Key ResponsibilitiesCore Instructional Delivery:<ul><li>Provide Comprehensive Instruction: Deliver learning experiences in all aspects of physical education to students across primary and secondary levels, while creating an environment that supports student engagement and success.</li><li>Promote Wellness: Encourage health, fitness, and lifelong physical activity through inclusive, developmentally appropriate PE programs.</li><li>Adapt and Assess Effectively: Monitor student understanding and adapt instruction, assessments, or materials to meet evolving needs.</li><li>Innovate Instructional Strategies: Explore and apply innovative approaches—including educational technologies—to enhance student learning, confidence, and participation.</li><li>Integrate Technology: Use available digital tools and platforms to support instruction, engagement, and performance tracking.</li><li>Foster Inclusion: Demonstrate appreciation for individual differences and ensure equitable learning opportunities for all students.</li><li>Safety and Facility Oversight: Inspect, maintain, and manage physical education equipment, facilities, and storage areas to ensure maximum safety for all participants, in addition to strong knowledge of injury prevention.</li></ul>Professional and Collaborative Duties:<ul><li>Pursue Professional Growth: Actively engage in professional development to improve knowledge and practice in physical education and pedagogy.</li><li>Sportsmanship and Ethical Behavior: Explicitly teach and model principles of fair play, teamwork, respect, and ethical conduct, fostering positive character development through physical activity.</li><li>Collaborate with Teams: Share responsibility in achieving the goals and priorities of the grade level, team, or department.</li><li>Support Athletics Participation: Promote student involvement in school athletics and related extracurricular physical activities.</li><li>Fulfill Additional Duties: Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the school leadership.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Licensed to teach physical education by the Greek Ministry of Education (βεβα?ωση επετηρ?δας ιδιωτικ?ν εκπαιδευτικ?ν);</li><li>Bachelor's Degree, Master’s preferred, from an accredited college or university;&nbsp;</li><li>At least two years of relevant teaching experience, required;</li><li>Strong knowledge of sports education, fitness training, and injury prevention;</li><li>Familiarity with technology integration in PE instruction and data-driven assessment of student progress;</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, to students (native speaker fluency preferred);</li><li>Experience with differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students;</li><li>Experience in an international or multicultural school setting is a plus;</li><li>Commitment to remain current in content knowledge and teaching strategies;&nbsp;</li><li>Display commitment to safeguarding and protection of children.</li></ul>Position DetailsThe High School Assistant Principal is expected to report on August 20, 2026, to engage in New Faculty Orientation and institutional training.&nbsp;Why Join ACS Athens?At ACS Athens, we are committed to excellence in education, student-centered innovation, and global leadership.
