We are seeking a motivated and experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic Accounting Department and contribute to the success of our financial operations. What you’ll do:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting team.
• Supervise month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Actively participate in the preparation and reconciliation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Review journal entries and ensure proper documentation and accuracy.
• Oversee and contribute to account reconciliations for critical accounts (e.g., bank accounts, supplier accounts, intercompany balances).
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
• Review and process payroll entries and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Review and recommend improvements to internal accounting procedures.
• Provide expert guidance on Greek Accounting Standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for communication with Group Accounting.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and communicate their impact to the management team.
• Identify and address potential risks to ensure financial stability and compliance.
• Lead projects related to the implementation of new accounting systems and tools.
• Train team members on departmental processes and best practices.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.

What you need to be successful

• BA in Accounting/Economics or a similar field
• Previous experience in leading a team will be mandatory
• A’ Class Accountant Signature
• At least 5 years of professional experience preferably in accounting & tax advisory or compliance services. Experience in retail/wholesale will be considered an asset.
• Completion or final stage participation in a relevant professional qualification (ACCA, ACA) will be considered a plus
• Computer literacy with Advanced MS Excel skills
