What you'll do
- Undertake voyage planning to meet international regulations and resolve vessel operational issues
- Optimize bunker procurement and consumption strategies
- Review and coordinate stowage planning and cargo handling operations
- Coordinate agency appointments and provide voyage orders to vessels
- Monitor vessel performance including speed and consumption analysis
- Coordinate weather routing services and performance optimization
- Manage hold and tank cleaning optimization
- Handle vessel questionnaires, certificates, LOIs and supporting documentation
- Maintain and update company software systems with operational data
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for smooth operations
- Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and company policies
- Prepare operational reports and performance analysis
Key requirements
- 2+ years' experience
- Time Charter vessel operations and knowledge of Charter party terms and conditions
- Voyage planning and cargo handling operations experience
- Bunker procurement and consumption strategies including bunker operations knowledge
- Agency appointment coordination and managing voyage orders
- Vessel performance monitoring, weather routing and hold/tank cleaning optimization
- Handling vessel questionnaires, certificates, LOIs and related documentation
- Company software systems updating such as IMOS and Danaos
- Compliance with international and company regulations including shipping regulatory frameworks
- BIMCO standard forms and clauses knowledge
- Laytime and demurrage calculations
- P&L understanding and variance analysis
- Maritime Studies
