About the job

The Department of Social Sciences of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Deree – The American College of Greece seeks a part-time instructor for its Sociology Program.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach face-to-face undergraduate level courses in:

  • Sociology of Globalization

  • Collective Action and Social Movements

  • And introductory courses

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Sociology, preferably with specialization on Political Sociology

  • At least one degree from a US or UK-accredited institution

  • Teaching experience in Sociology preferably at a US, UK, or other English-speaking higher education institution.

  • Active research record and publications (a record of grant funding for relevant projects will be appreciated)

  • Eligibility for Hellenic Ministry of Education registration number.

General Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively as a part of a team.
