About the job

As part of our continued investment in augmented reality (AR) technologies, we are expanding our Computer Vision capabilities with an Augmented Reality Software Engineer to develop next‑generation AR capabilities on embedded application processors integrated into our electro‑optical products.

The successful candidate will design and implement computer vision and real‑time AR applications running on embedded Linux and Android–based application processors, tightly integrated with sensors such as night vision cameras, thermal imagers, IMUs, and external data sources.

You will work in a multi‑disciplinary R&D environment, collaborating closely with hardware, FPGA, optics, computer vision, and system engineers to deliver robust, low‑latency AR solutions for operational use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain augmented reality applications for embedded platforms used in defense electro‑optical systems

  • Implement real‑time AR overlays (symbology, navigation cues, object annotations, sensor fusion outputs) on live video streams

  • Optimize graphics rendering and application performance for resource‑constrained embedded SoCs

  • Interface with camera pipelines, IMUs, GPS, and other sensors to support accurate registration and alignment

  • Implement computer vision algorithms for perception and tracking algorithms into AR pipelines

  • Support system integration, testing, debugging, and performance tuning on target hardware

  • Contribute to technical documentation, software architecture, and coding standards

 Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

  • Strong experience in C++ and/or modern C for embedded or performance‑critical applications

  • Hands‑on experience developing real‑time graphics or AR/VR applications

  • Experience with Embedded Linux application development

  • Experience with computer vision frameworks (e.g. OpenCV)

  • Solid understanding of 3D math, coordinate systems, transformations, and sensor fusion concepts

  • Experience with GPU‑accelerated rendering (e.g. OpenGL ES, Vulkan, or similar)

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and collaborative software development

  • Experience with AR frameworks or engines (e.g. Unity, Unreal, custom engines) adapted for embedded targets

  • Background in computer vision, image processing, or real‑time video pipelines

  • Experience interfacing with IMUs, cameras, GPS, or similar sensors
