What you'll do
- Design structural and mechanical components and systems
- Perform structural analysis, load calculations, and design optimization using simulation tools
- Create production drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation with tolerances and GD&T
- Ensure compliance with codes and standards, and recommend improvements for strength, weight, cost, and manufacturability
- Develop Matlab functions for structural modeling, simulation, and multi-objective optimization
- Conduct coupled structural, mechanical, and tolerance-stack-up analysis
- Process large datasets, select optimal designs, and visualize results
Key requirements
- Mechanical Engineering fundamentals including mechanics of materials and machine design
- Structural analysis and design optimization using simulation tools
- Expertise in Matlab and Python programming for modeling and optimization
- Experience with engineering drawings, production documentation, tolerances, and GD&T
- Knowledge of optimization algorithms and design-for-manufacturing principles
- Familiarity with Catia and Siemens NX for production documentation
